How the Monitor Works

Device Cellular Service and Coverage

The Hygge Monitor has a built in AT&T and T-Mobile cellular plan. Once you plug in the monitor it will use it's built in sim card to begin sending readings to the IoT Portal.

Device Operation

Device readings are taken every 60 seconds. Should a reading fall outside your configured alert preferences, or a power outage or leak is detected, you will receive instant notification according to your notification settings(email/text).  You will receive another notification when the alert state is resolved.  During normal operation device readings are sent to the IoT Hub every 2 hours where they can be viewed and exported in daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly views. The sensors ship with a disposable CR123A battery that can provide over 6 days of power for normal operations should the device have extended loss of outlet power. 

 

 

Installation

  1. Plug Device in using the included wall adapter and power cable. 
  2. Mount with included wall hanger and adhesive tape or nails
  3. Register your device and set alert preferences and notification options in the IoT Hub
  4. (Optional) Route the leak detection rope along the floor where water may appear.
