Hygge Apps Terms of Service

Welcome to Hygge Apps! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our software as a service (SaaS) platform and related services provided by Hygge Apps ("Hygge," "we," or "us"). By accessing or using our services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Overview

Hygge Apps provides a software platform that collects data from sensors and enables users to monitor various environmental conditions. Our platform analyzes this data and sends text or email-based alerts to users when readings fall outside user-defined ranges. Users have access to view their monitors data for up to 5 years from the date of item shipment. Additional monitoring years can be purchased after this initial 5 year term.  

2. Data Collection and Usage

a. Sensor Data Collection: Hygge Apps collects data from sensors deployed in various environments, including but not limited to temperature, humidity, power status, and other relevant metrics. 

b. User Data Collection: The SaaS platform(iot.hyggeapps.com) collects user entered data such as a users name, email addresses, and phone number. 

b. Purpose of Data Collection: The data collected is used to provide users with insights into their environmental conditions and to facilitate the alerting system described herein.

c. Data Privacy: We are committed to protecting your privacy. We do not sell or share your data with third parties without your consent, except as required by law or as necessary to provide our services.

3. Alerts

a. Alert System: Hygge Apps uses the collected data to send alerts to users via text or email when readings fall outside user-defined ranges.

b. User Defined Ranges: Users have the ability to set their own thresholds for acceptable sensor readings and customize the alerting system according to their preferences.

4. User Responsibilities

a. Accuracy of Information: Users are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the information provided to Hygge Apps, including configuration of alert thresholds.

b. Compliance with Laws: Users must comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to the use of our services and the data collected therein.

5. Limitation of Liability

a. Limited Device Warranty: Users can return their sensors up to 14 days from the date of delivery with 100% money back. After 14 days the devices are covered by a 60 day manufacturers warranty in which devices can be replaced if they are found to be defective. The warranty is void if it has been determined that the device was not used in accordance with the items described in section 6 Warranty Voidance.

b. Limitation of Liability: In no event shall Hygge Apps be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with the use of our services.

6. Warranty Voidance: The warranty for our device may be voided if it is subjected to any of the following:

a. Misuse, abuse, or neglect, including but not limited to improper installation, handling, or storage.

b. Modification or alteration of the device, including the removal or tampering with any seals, labels, or components.

c. Use of the device in conjunction with incompatible accessories, peripherals, or software not approved by the manufacturer.

d. Failure to follow the instructions provided in the user manual or other official documentation.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
